Grants of up to £200k per site are available to schools, hospitals, housing associations, local authorities, charitable bodies and community organisations to install solar panels wind turbines and other devices powered by renewable energy. This is
for 50 per cent of the cost.
Wind Turbines : planning permission not required upto 50 ft in height  (sound levels permitting.)

The government proposes to bring in renewable heat incentives in April 2011 . RHI tarriffs are proposed to kick start

serious opportunities in the CHP market. whether one of dwellings or district housing.
